Speaker: 2024 New England Holistic Nursing Conference

Using Nature Bathing to Improve Health and Happiness
Join Nadine Mazzola, Certified Forest Therapy Guide, and award-winning author, to learn about Nature and Forest Bathing, how it benefits the whole person (physiologically, psychologically, socially, spiritually, environmentally, and more), and how it compares to other nature-based activities and mindfulness practices. Designed to be very accessible the practice of nature and forest bathing is based on a research-backed framework and can be done anywhere including close to home and in the small green pockets of urban life. An experiential session will be included to give participants a first-hand experience of the practice and its benefits. Learn simple routines that can be used with patients or for one’s self-care to promote health, and a sense of community, and help prevent burnout. A Q&A session and a review of the key research in this field will be included.
