“A Walk in the Woods in Winter” - With Marilyn Brandt And Nadine Mazzola
There are many ways to experience the woods and natural world around us.
Marilyn will give a brief presentation on tree identification in our New England woods in winter.
And we are fortunate to have Nadine Mazzola as our guest. Nadine is the founder and director
of New England Nature and Forest Therapy Consulting. She is a certified Forest Therapy Guide
and will introduce us to Shinrin Yoku, a Japanese practice that is a gentle, meditative approach
to being with nature and enjoying a restorative walk in the woods. Shinrin Yoku, literally means
“taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” It is a slow mindful way of walking that has
many health benefits and is a proven antidote to the stresses of our everyday lives.
Come meet Nadine & learn more on January 22nd at 10 am at the Lincoln Public Library.
