Join forest bathing and forest therapy practitioners and guides from around the world. The 1st Annual International Forest Therapy Conference and Gathering of Guides will be held on the beautiful grounds of Sonoma State University, just north of San Francisco. Sonoma State is arguably the birthplace of ecopsychology. Its expansive grounds include redwood forests, a stream, wonderful outdoor trails and indoor meeting spaces, and private en-suite rooms with shared kitchen and living facilities.

Lodging and Amenities
You will be staying in the university's beautiful student housing, which is vacant for the summer. You will have your own private, locking room and bathroom in a suite of four rooms that share a full kitchen and living room area. While off-campus housing is available, you won't be able to beat these accommodations for price and convenience. If you are travelling with a group that would like to share a suite, let our registrar know.
Conference participants will have full access to the university grounds and the recreation center. The conference will include an outdoor social event.
Sonoma State University is in the town of Rohnert Park, in Sonoma County, heart of California's wine country. Nearby parks, mountains, and coastlines provide stunning experiences of nature. Small towns have local vibes, each one unique in its own way. San Francisco is just an hour away by auto. .
The nearest large international airports are San Francisco International (SFO) and Oakland International (OAK). Shuttles run from each of these airports and will bring you to Rohnert Park. From the shuttle stop at the Rohnert Park Double Tree Hotel, the University is a short ride of three miles by taxi or rideshare. There is a smaller airport in Santa Rosa, Charles Schultz Airport. It is much closer to the University, about 25 minutes by car. If you drive your own auto, a parking pass will be provided to you with your registration packet, allowing you park at the university for the duration of the conference.
